I am trying to install osCommece on a server.

I am not, however, allowed to upload .htaccess files.

Can I use osC without a htaccess file?

    *crosses fingers*

    thanks in advance:confused:

If you have access to the http.conf file, you could either stick the directive within the virtualhost, or you could rename the access file to something other than .htaccess. That's of course if you have access to the conf file.

Failing that, ask your hoster if they can stick in the file for you.
