f1 - F3 Study advice?

Hi, Im looking for some advise re studying for the F1-F3 exams. im doing F1 and got the BPP Study text and wondering if it needs to be read cover to cover? I also got the practise and revision kit. also wondering what would be the average study time for this exam eg 1 month? any advise greatly appreciated
