It's an espresso based drink, good coffee would be where to start. Have you any way of brewing espresso?

You can get the caramel syrup in a few outlets, I think tesco stock it. After that I think it's cream, milk, sugar, ice and the coffee.

There should have been a double espresso there as far as I know.

I would advise an Aeropress or a Moka pot. Both will brew an espresso-like drink which would be fine for this.

Out of the two I'd recommend the aeropress as it uses coffee ground to espresso level, this is a fine grind. The coffee suitable for the moka pot is a little less accessible but still available. The aeropress can also be used to a great filter coffee, this is the same brew method with hot water added; a standard 'americano' type drink. It's probably my favourite method of brewing filter coffee presently.

Where ever you are, fresh coffee is available online if not in the shops. Pre-ground coffee isn't ideal, once you grind coffee it starts to loose it's freshness however it's still incomparable to instant or even most of what you'll get in the shops. If you get into it you may want to invest in a grinder down the line.

No probs with the questions :)

    A big glass add:

    1) double espresso
    2) sugar - depends on taste, start with maybe 1.5 tea spoons
    3) ice, crushed
    4) milk, half a cup
    5) 2/3 tablespoons of your caramel syrup

Blend/Shake add some freshly whipped cream and serve with a straw or 2.

No probs, let me know how you get on. Adjust the quantities to suit your taste and don't forget to order some ground freshly roasted coffee with the aeropress.

If there's no-one local to you that will grind and supply then hasbean will, they're crowd that I linked for the aeropress they have a great range of coffees. They'll also grind to your requirement (espresso grind for the aeropress) you could order the coffee with the press if you wish. If you intend to drink a few of them you could order 500g. Delivery will take around 5 working days from the UK. Check out this thread for coffee recommendations. Keep an eye on the forum too, we occasionally do group-buys, basically purchasing coffee from renound suppliers from various parts of the world and sharing the p&p, it normally works out a similar price to what you'd pay in Ireland, anyone's welcome to join if you do get into it :)

Not for the Frappuccino really, yes if you'd like to enjoy a nice filter coffee occasionally. This Guatemalan may be worth a try to begin with, again - espresso grind.

Possibly, it wouldn't leave for much of a drink though: milk, cream, caramel, sugar and ice. Kinda has to be something else there, I'd ask the starbucks person. I'm at a loss with this now I'm afraid.
