Third bridge to be built over the Foyle in Derry.
A third bridge is to be built across the River Foyle in Derry.

The foot and cycle bridge will link the Guildhall on the Cityside to Ebrington on the Waterside.

Welcoming the news SDPL Leader and Foyle MP Mark Durkan said the bridge will create a cross river city centre.

About time, that's what I say. I mean, a city that big only having two bridges across the dividing river is ridiculous. This is great news. Hopefully it will relieve the traffic congestion over on the Strand.

It looks good alright especially with the public piazza planned for the Waterside end of it.
