great film, colin farrel was great in it and very funny. Didn't think he was that good of an actor before I seen this.

Anyone try putting brown sauce in their tea yet? Think I might try it.

saw it for the 2nd time - thought it was great again. Farrell brilliant but all the actors are brill. Love the connections in the storyline

I always thought Farrell was a good actor. Intermission is a good film but he really impressed me In Bruges. Surprising level of quality from him.

    "Have I got a Ronnie?" :D

Farrell is an immensely talented actor. Check out 'Tigerland'. It's his best performance in my opinion. He was also excellent in 'Phonebooth' and 'In Bruges'.

He is great in Tigerland! Phonebooth was not a great film but he did well in it.
I loved In Bruges. Made me visit Bruges Ironically.
Bruges is lovely. I dunno what Farrell's problem is. :)

Yeah meaneys great too. I missed a lot of the humour the first time I seen this movie, it was only when I watched it again last night that I realised how good it was.

Ya its a good movie alright with some great humour. I thought Farrell was good but Meaney steals it for me. I enjoy all this guys film work, picked up The Van for a fiver there in HMV a few weeks back. Now thats a funny flick.

Yeah, Meaney steals the show for me as well.

I love when he hops out of his car to catch the young drug dealers and you can hear Clannad blaring out of his car stereo. :D

..and when he came back to find his car nicked:
Look, this is b***ox man. At my rank, I should not have to deal with this unprofessional...... aw, just give me the number of a taxi firm

I thought it was absolute rubbish from the time I saw it in the cinema. Colm Meaney's character was totally cringeworthy and almost all of the characters bear no resemblence to real people. Its a bad day when you have to say Colin Farrell is the best thing about a film.

    Why?

He's made a few bad choices alright but the fact remains that he's one of the best actors in Hollywood. His performances in 'Tigerland' and 'Phonebooth' were magnificent. As another poster already mentioned, Phonebooth wasn't a great film but Farrell's performance (the whole film was based on his character) was superb. It could be shown as an example to any aspiring actor to show what good acting looks like.

Excellent show, saw it for the 2nd time the other night and even though I knew where the plot was going and most of the gags I still enjoyed it immensely.
That brown sauce fetish is about the only thing that puts me off ...oh and her tache lol...

You gotta be kidding. Are you Gerry Ryan ? He was going on the other day about how Farrells performance in Phone Booth was one of the finest examples of acting ever commited to celluloid. Was he high or something or has he only ever seen 2 films in his life ? It was a good performance in a seven outta ten film. Gimme a frickin' break. Hes a 6 outta 10 actor. If he didn't have the looks he'd be nowhere.

Look ! No doubt farrell's good - Meany on the other hand is a consumate actor - the real deal.

As for fat Gerry's opinion ?? - A Toss and not a come to mind....

Who doe that fat c**nt think he is ?

You've lost all sorts of credibility there..... did you see 'Man About Dog'?!

F*ck me... 'Intermission' was 'Citizen Kane' when compared to it.

I watched this, forgot how funny it is! I love it, don't care what anyone says, its one of them brilliantly pointless films. Quality.

Yes credibility gone on first post!! Well to be honest i was expecting a lot more than I saw on that cinema visit, and lowered my expectations to watch it on DVD and thought it was just ok, What pissed me off was the marketing at the time...."funniest irish movie ever" etc when it clearly wasn't. It also won a heap of "irish awards" and i wondered if it was so f**ing good how the british public didn't love it as much!

What has the british public got to do with it? These sort of films are made for irish people, they are a great bit of fun. What the americans or brits or whatever think about it is not the point.

Actually one of the points that got me about it was the obvious pandering to the American audience at times, e.g. the supermarket manager's catchphrase

Then you missed the point of the joke completely..

The point of using the American catchphrases and such is that there are plenty of arsehole bosses working in modern Ireland today who actualy use this terminology regularly to make themselves sound important and / or "hip".

I've worked with them.. believe me, they exist.. they're the same people that use bollock marketing phrases like "moving forward". Nah.. let's move backwards for a change.. then zig zag for a while.
