Congrats man, that is a sweet guitar and it nicely rounds out the collection. How do you find the Kinman pickups to play?

Hey, I remember those pick ups!! :pac:
Great to see it finished, how does she play? Any sound clips?

i think they have a lot of potential, my neck pickup is lovely but the other 2 are sounding a bit harsh at the moment, it just needs to be set up at the moment! gotta try find that sweet spot!

haha i was going throught that old posty yesterday when i was having some wiring trouble, thanks again mate :D

no sound clips yet but i will when its sounding a bit better and the action is sorted etc, the high e string is hitting something (not a fret) and its sounding like a sitar when open and losing its sustain so i gotta find that problem too!

all in all theres a couple of issues to be ironed out but other than that im a ahppy bunny for my firts (and last) build!:D

There's no string tree, the high E may not be sitting properly in the nut. Try pushing the string down behind the net towards the headstock and see if it clears up.

Good effort with the build! :)

    Congrats man.

The bridge and pickups look very high, you could shim the neck pocket if you want to bring the neck angle forward a few degrees.

ie. Just put a small piece of paper/card in the neck pocket in the neck pocket, on the side furthest from the body. Use different thickness or # of folds to adjust.

yep they are high, reason being is that the scratchplate has lights in it so its thicker than usual so its raising the neck slightly, i might look into shaving it down...

    thanks for advice

Hi folks, apologies for the bump but ive decided to sell up as i have SERIOUS GAS for a 335!!

I just have one problem.... Value??

Its in better condition now than it was when i took those pics, repainted and the pickups lowered etc etc

It cost around 800 to build altogether so would 600 be ok? I already have it up on adverts for that but just looking for some advice!

Just to note im not looking to sell it here but just looking for advice on value. Anyone?

    Thanks.

PS, ive read the charter and it doesn't strictly prohibit asking about value, especially not when looking for value for a unique guitar.

Mods to a guitar don't really add very much to the value unfortunately. Yours are very personal too. So it's hard to say.
