    Howdy Ho.

I'm about to embark on some vocal mixing.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend some plug ins that might suit.
I'm thinking of maybe some sort of expander for certain parts. Some slight reverb and one part where I need to reduce a fair bit of sibilance.

    Any suggestions welcome.
    Thanks.

Modest budget. Say about 100 euro every week or two.
I'm using Adobe Audition rewire'd with Reason. Don't have latency problems.
I think it's Pentium 4 (3.8 ghz), 1 gb RAM, about 30 GB free space.

Just starting to use plugin's and mix. Threw a few rough mixes together as I was writing stuff, but haven't sat down and focused on it yet.

The first bit I've done (no vocals though) using plugin's is on www.myspace.com/demos2008.
Tune no. 5, Imaginatively titled "Kicking a Hole in a Wall". Nothing special just a loop seeing what can be done with the plug-ins

heres a free bundle to get you started.

dont let the fact that they are free put you off. they are extemely good quality, take up little cpu and little space. they've found a place on a number of my releases and id recomend them to any beginner.

after that if you want to spend have a think about saving for a few weeks and going for a sonalksis bundle - these are superb quality and a very good price.

the specific plug-ins you are looking for (expander and de-esser) are going to cost you a little more although the jobs can be done with a little experience with the sonalksis bundle
    hope this helps.
