Can someone please tell that man to leave the civil servants of this country alone. He should change the name of his show to The Bitter Private Sector show with Matt "I hate civil servants cause they have a sound pension and get pay rises for no reason" Cooper. Does the man think that all civil servants in this country are loaded, drive big fancy cars and live in big fancy houses??

Its about time he got off the wagon before someone reminds him that his wages are a bit mind blowing considering he works for 2.5 hours a day.

Well I'm not so sure that he only works for 2.5 hrs a day. Either way, I think he's spot on about civil servants. Compared with much of the private sector, average pay IS higher, it is more secure, pensions etc. Many of the perks that civil servants take for granted are not given to the average industrial worker in this country, or at least not without haggling with the employer. Something that a civil servant does not have to do.
    Rock on Matt!

You hear him on air for 2.5 hours per day, I think he does a bit more than that behind the scenes.

I actually think he goes too soft on public sector while on the show. I was hoping he would discuss salaries of equivalent people doing same jobs in public sector in UK and Europe and allow for tax rates and cost of living etc. Also I hoped he would get on an employment specialist who would compare what someone doing same or very similar job in private sector gets compared to public sector. Those in public sector are so used to their conditions and perks they really don't understand how different it is in private sector.

While he is at it he could conduct an absenteeism report and any "two Jobbers" in there.

Wake up OP Public service is an overstaffed overpaid top heavy monolith which needs slimming down and reorganisation quam celerrime.

Not everyone in there is swinging the lead of course, the whole ethos need urgent re working and brought into line with reality.

bench marking is NOT reality, never was, never will be, totally stupid thing to get involved in by the Govt.
