    First spelling fixes :)

You can try and sell them on adverts.ie
You could sell them on shop street if you want to stand there with them on stands or something.
You could call to peoples houses, door to door, and ask if they would like to buy one.
You could create your own website and try to sell them on there.
    You could host an exhibition.

Thats all i can think of.

I have had 3 artists trying to sell me paintings in the last year, they got a door in the face (Although the last one was rather amusing - Romanian gypsy's called while I was wearing my pro-Hitler t-shirt).

OP, I would suggest you don't try door-to-door. I can't see it working out

I'm not a big fan of people trying to sell me stuff in my own home. Unless it's going to get me high.

seriously dont even think about the door to door, most will think ur just checkin the place. As for shop street christ in this weather madness.

and for D above it can be arranged.

I've bought stuff from door to door artists.

Isn't there a art gallery in Galway? Set up shop outside selling knockoffs of the paintings inside for half the price. Winner!

So have I. One of my favourite paintings actually...a tinga painting from Tanzania...or at least that's where he said it was from! :D I don't care, it was cheap and looks the business

Post a thread on boards.ie saying "give me ideas on where to sell, here are some example piccies of my work". ;-)

Approach business that offer exhibition space (some cafes etc) and see if they'll show your stuff and pass on sales enquiries.

Run an ad on TV (hey, you didn't say they had to be affordable ideas!)

Paint pornographic stuff and advertise on dodgy web-sites (it'll move faster).

Try to do a deal with someone who sells related products (they say "buy one of my X's and get a free painting", you both split the profits from the sale).

I wouldnt try door to door either.

I think a stand on shop street is probably your best bet.

What about the market on Saturday? Do you need a permit or something for it?? .....might be an idea?

You can load up your paintings on the Galway Business Pages there, they have free classifieds for people in Galway. Theres a big bin outside the front of the Advertiser office with posters for them as well.

Its a nice conversation piece at dinner parties
I keep it close at hand for when I see anyone going door-to-door

Mocha Beans on Dominic St have a sign up saying that they're looking for work to exhibit
