I just played there for the first time last night and had to come on to rave about it.

They have the best guarenteed tournaments and one of the nicest set ups with comfortable leather chairs, a crackin beer garden, and a beautiful cash table complete with a roaring fire, as well as a great homely atmosphere with luke at the center of it.

It's at the top of my list of spots to go and if you haven't been there, then you're missing out in a big way.

    Tournie Schedule is as follows-->

Tuesdays - Cash Game at 10.30 with a roped off section, a mahogany table and a fire.

    Wednesdays - Champions League Night

    €20 + 5, 2 rebuys and a top up or 3 re-buys @10 each.
Start 10pm, 2000 chips, 20 min clock and guarenteed €500

    Thursdays - Double Chance

    €50 + 5, Start 8.30pm
3000 chips, 20/25 min clock and guarenteed €1000

    Fridays - Texas Holdem Freezout

    €100 + 10,
Start 8.30pm, 7500 chips, 25 min clock first 5 levels and 30 min clock thereafter. Guarenteed €2500

    Saturdays - Double Chance

    €50 + 5, Start 8.30pm
2500 chips, 20/25 min clock and guarenteed €1000

Any inquiries the call on Silks - 01 - 4759191

Can you drink alcohol at the tables?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 105 ✭✭Spuca

I was in seat 6 on the final.

Nope. Just like anywhere else you can't booze at the poker table, unfortunatly.

Only on gaming tables, no alcohol at poker tables.

I'm going to be back playing live in December. I think the Friday night freezeout is going to be my first bit of poker action in 12 months.

For some reason hadn't heard of this place before, might check it out this wend. The website is pretty good as well (albeit can't find a tourney schedule on it).

Went to Silks for the 1st time last night too. Didn't play tournie but had heard that they got a good round of each game going and wasn't disappointed. Got going around 12 and played til after 5 (Full table for about 3 hours of it). Good action filled game enjoyed at the class table already described - leather swivel chairs beside the fire (high stakes poker feel!) - and will definitely be going there regularily in future.

    Great welcome and service too.

anyway enjoyable night as usual. Only thing I really dislike is the ROE cash game only as I cant play that educated gambling game.
