USB devises not recognised - HELP?!

    Hi,

    Can you help me please. My Acer laptop over the last number of days is not driving any external devices/Hardware - like printers etc and is not recognising usb connections to cameras to download photos etc.
    I have deleted drivers and reloaded them but to no avail?

    anyone any tips of how to solve this?

    1.have u try the different usb port?
    2.when u plug in the device,such as a hard drive,does it even power up the hard drive?
    3.go to the device manager,usb bus section,and see is the "usb root hun"enable or disable?
    4.or may be it in your bios?u disable the usb port in your bios?

    this is what I do for my acer laptop :)

    start - Run
    Enter msconfig
    find STARTUP
    disable all
    restart the computer
