Have checked with eircom and they say line is perfect.
Mozilla Firefox, avg free 80 & Super Antispyware free are installed. ( they have been there a long time now.)

Some windows updates were installed in the last few days .

Ive found Mozilla giving me hastle in the last while. I had some themes downloaded for it and ended up constantly refreshing to get pages up and it was very slow.
I got rid. Im using Google Chrome now find it much faster.

Anyway , start with a simple clean up of your drives.
You may want to take a look at your RAM. It may just be underpowered.
I recently upgraded mine and the difference is astounding.
