Looks like we might not have it easy. Lost the toss and made to toil in the sun. :(

Ireland are in a bit of trouble. After getting the final wicket this morning, Namibia made 250.

Ireland are now 37 for 5, with Snyman taking all five. Really need a big innings from Trent or Cusack.

My money is on Cusack getting a big one today.

One big over from Gerry Snyman did all the damage. Still, with Trent & Alex Cusack at the wicket we can dig in & bat for a long time to drag the total.

It's a 5 day match, so there's loads of time & no need to panic.

Trent and Alex rebuilding now and going along nicely.

Has there been any feedback on the wicket? Perhaps Namibia have just dug in well and produced a fantastic score rather than Ireland 'restricting them' to 250.

    Ireland currently 111-5

    Cusack 51no Trent 29no

Do points for having a first innings lead apply in the final as well?

I dont think so. From what I remember it is a winner takes all, however, if its a draw then Namibia would win because they had more points coming into the final.

Spoke too early. Tail order now collapsing 182/8

All out for 195 - Alex Cusack stranded on 95 not out.

Lots of work to be done now...

2 early wickets - just what we needed!

I think a second innings target of 220 or more could prove a real challenge.

I think Ireland will roll them over now, and will require 180 to win in the second innings.

Namibia are 44 for 4 (and a half) with Snyman, the half, retired hurt.

The next wicket is really the key. If Ireland can get rid of Louis Burger cheaply they can really pile on the pressure.

    Nam 91-6 now

Namibia 145 all out. I believe that means Ireland need 201 to win

What time is the close of play? At the rate they are going now, another hour and it could be over!

Ireland finish off the job without losing another wicket. Not sure how long it took

    201-1

    O Brien 119 no.

Well done to the lads. Excellent win, they did very good to get out of the group considering 2 of the games were abandoned

Yeah great win again. They've firmly cemented their "best of the rest" status, 3 in a row is very impressive.

I only hope they do themselves justice in the World 20-20 event coming up next summer. That'll be another chance to impress on the big stage.
