Has anyone seen this film and is it any good? I hadn't heard of it before and stumbled across it on IMDB and it seems it's an excellent and very scary horror film. It has been remade already but the remake is supposed to be awful.

Anyway should I check it out?

It's pretty unoriginal if I'm honest, typical asian ghost story that's heavily influenced by Japanese films like Ring and The Grudge, but it definitely hits the mark in the fact that it's very creepy and atmospheric. If you like that sort of thing, then definitely take a look, but don't expect originality, there is none.

Well I definitely enjoyed Ringu, I thought it was an excellent film. Ju-On wasn't quite as good but it was enjoyable enough. Sure if it's along the same lines as those two then i'll give it a look. Thanks

I second what Karl has said. It adds nothing new to the genre, but it does exactly what it says on the tin and can be enjoyable if you're in the mood for it.

I saw the American remake and can confirmed that it was indeed a disgracefully bad movie.

As said above, it doesn't bring too much new to the table. Having said that, it's certainly one of the most creepy Asian horrors. It also has a great ending that sets it aside from many other recent J-horror films.
    I'd certainly recommend it.

Shutter is probably my favourite asian horror. After watching this i was eager to watch some more asian horrors such as Ju on and pulse, but they werent that good.

Its like the ring or one missed call
with the scary girl ghost malarky

Watched this last night after it was recommended in the halloween thread.

I thought that the part where
the scary bitch was looking sideways in the photo and then turned around and frightened the shiite outta ya should have been shown later in the movie, IMO it was the scariest part and it settled down after that.

    Dont quote the spoiler!
