    Hi all,

as you can see im a first time poster so i hope i am in the correct forum. Im hoping that someone here could point me in the direction of the best synth for my needs. I am a beginner but im hoping to learn the basics quite quickly because a few friends of mine have a band that im looking to join. What im looking for therefore is a good value synth that is good for beginners but also has a good variety of sounds so I wont have to replace it as soon as i learn how to play a few notes. I assume, but am open to correction, that I should be able to get a decent one for approx €400? From internet reviews I have seen the microkorg and korgx50 look quite good.

I am also in the market for a few lessons on the synth from somebody who knows what their doing so if people can recommend somebody to me or pass on someones details I would greatly appreciate it.

    thanks.
