bleeding a radiator

    do you need a special key to blled a radiator or can you use aything else instead?

    You can use anything that fits to turn the screw. The special keys are just a lot easier.

    u can use anything but make sure you're ready for a surge of brown liquid which could ruin your carpet!!!

    Get the propper tool for the job. They are only €2 - €3. Pliers etc. can damage the bleeder as it is made from quite soft metal.

    exactly! remember to put towels and tissues everywhere. & only loosen the screw until you can hear the air coming out, never take it fully out because it can be a nightmare to get back in, especially with putrid brown water flowing out!

    Get your old man to do it. Bleeding radiators is what dad's do.

    Do you mean bleed it to disconnect it or just get an airlock out?
    Getting an airlock out it needs to be on and just turn the screw until you hear air coming out when a little water comes out tighten her up again.
