I've been a member of ebay for 3 years. I've recently started selling. I put up 5 items last week as i'm clearing out stuff i never/hardly ever used. One item is sold so there is four active listings. When i tried to put another up it says ebay puts limits on sellers and buyers accounts and i can't list for another 30 days? I looked around but can't see anything about this on their faqs

Are you selling major brand name items? Listing too many well known brand name items, especially in a short space of time, can trigger these restrictions. Gaining positive feedback can help you avoid these restrictions. This is done to prevent sellers of counterfeit items from selling on the site. Unfortunately, a few "dolphins" can get caught in the net.

Ah maybe but like i said i'd only sold one thing and i've four active. All the items i'm selling i bought through ebay originally so it would be easy enough for them to check would it not? I emailed them but no contact, bit pis*ed off, if i'm not able to clear stuff out for a month thats not much good to me, i wouldn't be getting much money anyhow from them

sorry you didnt get a response, sadly if your not selling high volumes, you cnt get fone support .. if you want to pm me your account name il look in to it for you?

generally if you are paypal verified and your not selling Designer items, you should be ok.

the limits are there to stop new fraudulent sellers coming on to ebay, listing loads of fake items then clearing off with buyers money. its true that genuine ppl get caught in these filters.
