I like one on one games, skill can give an overwhelming advantage, Roulette is a game of chance, a joy to play, but at best the house still has a 1.30% advantage on a European wheel, on an American even higher.

An expert blackjack player who can do simple card counting, ie remembering cards over 10 have been dealt can have a profitable advantage, with a novice player the house has a huge advantage.

An expert blackgammon player has a 20% advantage over a novice, which is why the above are my favourite games, with 6 months hard work both can be very profitable.

When you say "BLACKGAMMON" i take it you mean backgammon.. It's still alot of chance, as you roll a 2 Dice, The outcome is till unknown,

 Calling all Backgammon players in Dublin and Ireland. There is a newish club which meets in Fitzgeralds Pub in Glasthule ( the main drag between Dun Laoghaire and Dalkey ) every three weeks to play live games.
Membership is free to all and we cater to all skill levels . There are several tournaments on any given evening.
Players can pay to enter tour (if they wish) or enter completely free. The payments are nominal with the largest entry being 5 euro for the main tour and dropping down to 1 euro for the later ones. So all dreams of avaricious wealth can be abandoned .
The next meeting following this post will be on the 26th of November 2009 at 7.30 p.m. We are delighted to meet new players and you can be assured of a warm welcome. If you would like further info or to be included on the text and email lists just message me or post a reply.
