Any chance of a sticky for when all the marathon gear in Lifestyle sports becomes much cheaper? :P

I've been in a lot of their stores lately and the stuff doesn't seem to be moving, although I did pick up a windproof adidas jacket for half the price last month.

Can't see to many skobies seeing the appeal in wearing a Dublin Marathon 2008 hoodie :pac:

TBH I don't see the need for a stickie - I would imagine that as soon as it gets reduced there will be a thread on it (in the same way there always is for Aldi running gear). A stickie would just sit there being ignored until it was needed.

If there is a lot of support for it though we can always put one up, so let me know what you all think.

Is the gear any good by the way?

The gear is good and got some nice stuff in the last 2 weeks in after i bought my stuff :(

I would buy it when reduced!

its nice looking gear but i would have felt like a fake buying it b4 the big day...and i assumed we would have gotten something from that range in our goodie bag. kinda dissapointed with the tshirt. i hate long sleaves. something like the half-mara tshirt in black would have gone down better....but thats just me.

i would deffo buy some if it was reduced.

I'd buy the mens hoody if they had it about 2 sizes smaller than the smallest size. The womens hoody is hideous and looks like it cost about 2 euro to produce.

I thought the quality of some of the gear was poor for the price of it. The Dublin Marathon wording is only a felt sticker, so the letters will eventually fall off. Surely embroidery isn't that expensive?!

I asked in Jervis and Stephen's Green, where neither had a great selection, and in both shops they said there was no plans for a sale. But then they would...

Do any outlets still have a decent selection? The one in Blanch is probably the best place, given that's where we were forced to collect our numbers.

Have to say this is typical of the rip off culture in the "lifestyles" of this worlds. Has anybody been in the big one in Blanchardstown?.I dont think they have sold any of the marathon gear. Its so overpriced and these idiots dont seem to know the marathon is over and the prices should be reduced. I sell into these people and the profits they make are unreal.
We are in a recession and people are not going to pay 42e for shorts!

I say shop in Lidal and Aldi and save the rest for a gps watch!
