Cuba all inclusive - 1900 each - too expensive?

    Hi,

we booked a trip to cuba departing end of jan, 15 nights, 7 of which are 5 star all inclusive in veradero , 4 of which are in havana and then 4 nights independant travel. Cost 1900 each inluding visas and transfers.

Am starting to think that we are overpaying. Does anyone think this is too expensive? Booked through an irish travel agent and did a few online price comparisons and this price seemed the norm.

    Thanks for any replies.

It depends on where you're staying really.

Some places are fairly basic and only have local spirits/beers/etc others have better services and facilities and offer premium drinks and a choice of places to eat and different cuisines.

cheers, well at least you didnt say it sounded like an outrageous price! I didnt think it was too bad...but then a friend got a 2 week holiday in goa for under 800 euro and it just got me thinking...

    Thanks again :)

I think that sounds ok, I paid €3800 to go to Cuba 5 years ago and that was just for 9 nights in Varadero and 4 in Havanna (and the hotel in Havanna was a kip!). I know that Cuba has gotten cheaper since then with direct flights, but that still seems ok for 15 nights. Keep pricing round though, no harm to see what else is out there, have you paid in full or just a deposit?

We paid around 5k for our honeymoon 4 years ago. Worth every penny, upgraded to a suite, fantastic beach, everything you need looked after.

Only setback was having to travel with Air Jamaica. Not good at all...

    Cheers Mikedragon32 and ncmc.

I just called the travel agent and we wouldnt get our 500 deposit back if we cancelled now anyway. But its great to have reassurance that we are not paying way over the top in these penny pinching times;) Cuba for 2 weeks end of january is going ahead, cant wait! Enjoy yere holidays if ye have any planned soon :)
