    Hi all,

Looking at getting in to photography, mainly hoping to take good shots of surfing, skiing and rugby, but also want to get some good travelling shots.

Don't have a huge budget, but am looking at the Nikon D-40, the Sony A-200 and a third, which is not a D-SLR, the Panasonic FZ-50.

Any thoughts on these or recommendations on others?

    Thanks

Happy to move if necessary, but would have thought gadgets, consumer electronics etc would be an apporopriate place for this query, and the charter mentions digital cameras specifically...

There's just been a big thread with some useful info over in photography if you're interested.
