We've been in studio 6 of the last 7 days, 6/7 hrs at a time, my index is startin to get sore after about 2 or 3 songs... It starts on the palm side at the base of my index and right into my knuckle.

Is this something I can stretch out? Are there any stretchs I can do prior to playing that might help?

EDIT: Never felt this playing guitar, only from bass, maybe its my left hand technique is just ****e :P

Go to a doctor. Seriously, this isn't the sort of thing you want an answer to on a forum about instruments, this could be a form of RSI.

It's not really surprising you are having soreness considering the amount of time you are in the studio.

With the mula it costs to get in there we don't have much of a choice to play so much... We have a day off today and back in again till sunday.

Its fun but taking its toll...

Stop playing immediately and go to a doctor.

Pain after a short period of time suggests something being wrong, rather than an endurance issue. See a doctor before a bad situation gets worse.

Yeah, never play through pain. We all get a bit of tiredness or fatigue, and its a sign you should stop, but pain is a different thing altogether...if something actually hurts, theres something wrong and you defininitely need to give it a rest and seek professional advice.

well if it hurts its ur bodys way of saying stop ...go the doc, but he'll most likely recomend a freeze/heat gel/patch maybe give u some anti-inflamatories or similar.

Or try going to a physio, unless it ssomething serious, which it doesnt sound like it is, thats what i figure will happen only you'd be -50eu :)
