Hi, thinking of visiting London for a few days either end of Dec or beginning of Jan. can anyone recommend a nice hotel thats not too expensive and handy to get to the usual tourist spots?
    Thanks :)

Hi, just back from London at the weekend. I stayed in The Hotel Russell, on Russell Square. Was €440 for 3 nights over a weekend.

Only 4 stops out from Picadilly on the tube, about 10 mins max. The Bus tour of London has a stop about a minute down the road aswell so you can hop on there.

Very nice hotel i found, would definitely stay there again.

London has thousand's of hotels so the question of where to stay is like "how long is a piece of string". I like the Hiltons but have also used Premier Inn, Travelodge and Thistle in the past. There's also loads of smaller B&B type gaff's in Earl's Court.
