Just a few from my week in Berlin, I mostly hung around Friedrichshain.

I really like the laundry ones. :)

Although they are a tad bright for me, and maybe a little over saturated.
They also seems a bit noisy - though that could be to some other conversion factor.

Some good old traditional PP and they could be ace!

There's an incredible sense of Gursky off the two in the laundrette!

They're my pick of the four, really like them. They are a bit grainy, but I wouldn't worry too much about them! I'll be back later to comment more.

I really like the laundry ones.

Personally i would maybe think about adding some more grain into the two of them, but thats just me.

I would also think about cropping out the window to the left of the second laundry one.

I have to disagree with the above comments about colour and cropping, I think those laundry photos are perfect as they are. They really show the style/colour of Berlin interiors (and it looks a lot like a laundromat I used the last time I was there) compared to the sometimes drab exteriors.

I like them all, but I think the second one could look a bit...dirtier? Maybe take the saturation down a tad? I'm just curious to see how it would look like that :)

Thanks for the comments, folks. You're probably right about the laundry ones. The noise is due to using 1600 ISO (no flash) and sharpening with unsharp mask. Though the colours really were that vivid, and the light green on account of the austere flourescent lighting, they are possibly too bright. I felt I had some trouble balancing the light and dark shades so I altered the levels, and there's the potential problem that my monitor is calibrated differently - I may alter them slightly to account.

John: was it a laundry near Rigaerstrasse, by any chance? (Oh, if the dude from Tea House Gallery is reading this thread, thanks for the good times last week! [Sorry, I didn't meet you])

Edit: I uploaded the two laundry photos again, slightly different. Any improvement?

No, it was just off Torstrasse but they seem to be universally garish :)

Ah right, was hanging around there for a few hours the other week. Friend of mine runs a gallery off Torstrasse. Missed out on eating in some fancy-looking French restaurant. Oh well. Mostly, I was in Friedrichshain (previously getting to knoe Pl.berg quite well).
