Do Gardai carry first aid pouches. I notice that on the back of the utility belts there is quite a large pouch. Is that for the tunic or what?Small-First-Aid-Kit-open.jpg
-Obviously not with the khaki but something along the lines of the scale.

large pouch is for notebook, there is a medical pouch but it's mainly for personal hygiene when dealing with cuts, ie gloves and alcohol wipes, also a mask for cpr again for the garda's protection, some might carry more but that's what's issued.

Tbh, first aid in the gards is a joke, one training course, no refresher course, is it fair to expect most people to remember it? Alot of gardai have done courses at their own expense and in their own time. Most of the time, gardai are first on scene of a rtc, or assualts of the ilk, they should be taight to emergency first responder level min and get refresher courses, but alas, the chances are so slim!
