HDMI cable in Tesco(Clarehall) €2.50

In case anyones interested I picked up one last in Clarehall and its 1.5m long. Its a philips(see link below). They're in a open top see through box in the electrical dept mixed in with scarts....

I was hoping to get this HDMI cable yesterday (checked Artane and then Clarehall). The 1.5 metre Philips' ones were labelled €20 and I asked them to double check at the checkout but... still €20.

Are the cables you're talking about in a clearance bucket of some sort?

I did the same thing. It's not the ones in the plastic pack. These are wrapped in a blue plastic collar. Hanging loose really. I found them near the televisions, rather then near the other cables in the store.

Cheers for that... and, just to confirm, you're talking about the Clarehall branch? Also, were there many left?

Sorry, I got mine in Limerick. At least you'll know what to look for.

They're the ones in plastic packaging, right? See the pic linked to in MarkR's post above.

Did you check the area around the TVs or just the ones amongst other cables? I'm thinking of going (slightly) out of my way to check Clarehall again tomorrow; I won't bother if you checked everywhere.

Was just in Tesco in Omni Park S.C. today 11/11/08 at 10.30am and there was about six of these left.
They are in the aisle with the DVDs CDs etc.
They are at the till end of the aisle beside the ink cartridges hanging on rack at eye level.

Picked up three of these in the Tesco Four Seasons department of the Crescent S.C. in dooradoyle limerick. They are hanging next to the tv's on display. It looks like they are for 4.99 put they scanned at 2.50. Great value.

i sent the GF in about 5 mins ag (im in work in harolds cross) and there is none there. there is a philips 1.5m cable but the guy said they are €20 :eek: and he said they are the only ones they have.
