Ok I know it's very early and all, but want to go to a hotel for two nights somewhere in Ireland for valentines weekend, anyone got any suggestions of a 4* hotel?

There are a few factors to take into account here - do you have a car? Can you drive? If yes you could consider a romantic bungalow on the west coast of Ireland where you can bring lots of supplies and sit by the fire all weekend - if NO you're relying on a hotel tahts within easy commuting distance of any transport (train/bus). Also - how far do you want to go? If you're leaving from Dublin then Waterford or Wicklow are very near and handier to get to. If you dont mind travel Belfast, Cork or Galway are all great towns and handy enough to get to if you dont mind 2-4/5 hours in a bus!

Most decent hotels have been recommended already on boards.

    http://www.rosspointcottage.com/February08offers.htm

Whisk that special someone away for 3 nights in February to romantic Ross Point Cottage by the sea in Connemara.

Enjoy a roaring turf fire, beach walks, complementary pink bubbly and chocolates on arrival.

As well as all that, Connemara has loads to offer including top restaurants, nightly entertainment and great scenery to enjoy for your well deserved break!

Total price: €320* for 3 consecutive nights during the month of February
(*Cost equals: €300 plus €20 agent booking fee = €320)

No idea if its any good - but damn thats affordable!
