    Hi,

I'm a first time buyer and was told 6 weeks ago that the property was ready but since then between dealing with the bank & solicitor I still have no cheque issued & no key!!!

Just to give you an idea the types of delays: increase in fixed rate since initial letter of offer from bank so had to sign, etc again, Company name different on my P60 and salary certificate, letter from my solicitor had no account details, etc. Basically there is a problem/question with every form I drop into the bank and I am getting quite frustrated!

Is 6 weeks a long time for this process or is it just that because this is actually happening to me, it seems like a long time.

    Any advise would be great,
    Thanks, Helen.

6 weeks is a very short time when buying property.
