    One million dollars...

    No, but seriously..
How did they get a hold of the picture?
How much was the photo used?
How good a photographer do you consider yourself?
Was it agreed they could use your photo?
How long is a piece of string?

People can't give you you a decent answer with no details :)

    authorised or unauthorised ?
how long was it on air for ?
    what programme ?

a mad way to come up with a number....

Look at the advert rate that they chareg for a 30 second advert for the program it was on. Calculate cost per second. Calculate how long it was on air for and multiply.

eg suppose 2100 for a 30 second advert on show = 70 euro per seconds. on air for 2 seconds = 140 please

wouldn't that work out how much you would have to pay to have your picture shown, not the other way around..

Did you watch the closing credits of the show they may have given you a credit if so they might claim they don't need to pay you.

If it was licensed under Creative Commons license then crediting might be ok, but if its not and the use it without permission and credit you you can still look for payment
