Of course you can request whatever you want, but a person trying to recruit someone for a "musical" band and then states that appearance is more important than musical talent is certainly suspicious. I would have thought ability to create music paramount when choosing people to jam with.

not at all, the music is just an excuse to get ourselves on stage to show off our well honed look. and a longhaired drummer would ruin that

I own my own suit, my haircuts cost 500 euro and i had my teeth replaced with porceline, i own shares in apple from the 70's and im a member of mensa how ****ing spiffy is that unfortunatly i spend more on my hair than on drums so i have a lack of a drumkit, can i still join yer band?
i had hope when you said no longhairs but alas, are the killers really looking for a new support band :P

It's a disgrace how much discrimination there is against "Longhairs" in this country though. For a while Dunnes' official hiring policy was against it(even though it was meant to be illegal). People's appearance in general shouldn't matter as long as they're not cumbersome, dirty or half naked. And anyone who disagrees, really, is painted as immature. We really have to grow out of this. I guess being a country with few ROCKAN BANDS doesn't help.

Well it is, insofar as you won't hear from anybody that may be musically proficient, despite hair. Sticking to your original goal of having people with a certain look, despite others' opinions is a disregard of their opinions.

It can be hard finding a sticksman in this country, and was beyond stressful for myself. I bid you luck once again.

its just frustrating that people expect us to settle on someone rather that stick to what we set out to achieve originally
i put "no longhairs" in the title as thats precisely what we were after, we weren't looking to have a discussion about why we should just hire anybody who can play drums
