no need for them unless they are the physio. end of. likewise, no need for any other county board officers in the dressing rooms unless chairman or secretary, male or female.

i think you are trying to brew a storm here mate, saying cos she was a woman, she was not allowed in. to be honest, i know very few counties that would leave a male pro in at half time.

reminds me of a lad at home with no shame. our physio is female. now, she is more manly than half the team, but this lad feels nothing wrong, with walking around in front of her, balls naked even before the game. i think he is trying to scare here away from the dressing room, but she takes no notice. its f*ckin priceless to see it.

i've got nothing to hide :p

ah no seriously, i'd have no problem with at half-time. at full time when the shorts come off maybe, but not at half-time. PC Patrol gone mad again!!

Is this got anything to do with the fact that she's a woman?

Why would a PRO need to be in the dressing room at half time?

era ya know how some clubs are. they want everything in the local paper's club notes; team talks, the lot. and often the PRO could also be a team selector, physio, jersey washer etc etc...

I'd have no issue with it. and can't see why anyone else would. there certainly shouldn't be any shorts off at half time :p and if it's just someone wondering why they're there for the sake of it, maybe they should concentrate more on what the coach is saying rather than worrying about trivial things like this.

i mean, what exactly is the issue here??

The women not allowed in dressing rooms is greatly enforced here in Wexford! Even when the girls won the camoige they still had to kit out in the car park :D

Would a male PRO be allowed into a girls dressing room? No.

Then why would female PRO be allowed into male dressing room?

eh, why not?? at half time there's no reason why a guy wouldn't be allowed into the dressing room. sure many a camogie team have males involved. would you say over 18s shouldn't be allowed into an underage dressing room??

The only people that should be in the dressing room at half time are the players, the management team and the physio (if they have one). Nothing to do with the fact that the PRO was a woman, it's just that she had no reason to be in there.

i disagree. there may well have been a reason. i just don't see exactly what the problem here is. at half-time in a game i'd like to think lads had other things to be worrying about...

I would say it is down to the manager, and if he\she decides the PRO does not get in then that is fair enough.

If the PRO had a good reason to be there, I'm sure she would have been let in and I don't think anybody would have a problem with it. If not, the last thing you need in the dressing room are hangers-on, especially at half time when the manager's trying to motivate his players.

To be honest, this has nothing to do with her being female or anything. It's about internal politics between herself and other members on the board. She went for the secretary job against another guy who got it etc. It's a bit petty to be honest.

    Nothing to see here.

    They'd only be dissapointed;

PRO's, male or female shouldn't be in a dressing room at half time, unless they are also
    a) the manager of the team
    b) a selector of the team
    c) team doctor or physio
    d) actually playing on the team
