    Hi,

    I play electric bass and I'm interested in performing in musicals. Would appreciate any tips about where best to look to get my foot in the door.

    I suppose maybe get in touch with your local musical societies? Even just to find out where they get their musicians.

    Haven't a clue really though!

    The guys I know who play at some of these things are all hired by the MD (musical director), I'm not sure if the MD is usually part of the society or brought in for the production. It probably differs from place to place. So I'd say ring them up of google them and find out who the MD is.

    You will most likely have to be able to sight read for these gigs.

    SILHOUETTES

    Ok, your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to produce a photo or photos with the theme 'silhouette'.

    Rules:
    -Photos must be taken with this challenge in mind – therefore photos must be taken after 10pm 26/9/2013.
    - Closing Date is 2 weeks (nearly) from now- Wednesday 9th of October at 8.00 pm
    (deadline is being returned to its Wednesday slot).
    - Photos must be taken by the person submitting them.
    - Only one photo per post- but feel free to submit as many posts as you like.
    - The next task/subject is to be chosen by the person who has the most thanks after their post at the closing date/time.
    - I will be 'out of reach' on a mountain in Slovakia on 9/10 so maybe I could ask the photo mod to announce the winner?
