Is there a TKMax down there? They should be getting in a selection of winter gear soon, if they haven't already, and should have some cheap double lense goggles on offer.

Go online imo. Goggles is the one area where I wouldn't recommend a cheap alternative.

I've seen a lot of people using cheap goggles and they actually make the glare worse in some cases. Also fogging up is a big issue with cheaper ones.

Ebay is worth a look as there are often good second hand Oakley or Bollé or the likes on there for very good prices.

TBH, I'd advise against prescription goggles. What happens if A: they get fogged up badly, B: you lose them, C: they crack etc etc.
You'll be quare stuck at the top of that mountain! Better off using contact lenses and goggles & sunglasses IMO. You can get goggles that are big enough to fit over glasses too.

I've used goggle that supposedly fit over glasses before, but they were never quite comfortable enough for my liking. I probably just never quite found the right pair though.

Getting contacts though did wonders for me, and being able to see in whatever conditions on the mountain rather than worrying about my prescription shades getting messed up.

You can get perscription inserts for a lot of goggles too. Expensive though, and unless you have a damn good pair of goggles on really bright days you'll want to put sunnies on and have no choice.

Contacts ftw! I only where high contrast goggles in flat light or at night now and use sunnies on normal/bright days.

BTW i recommend you have two pairs of goggles
for the different conditions you encounter

    1. Normal conditions - (orange)
    2. Flat light/heavy snow - pink, yellow or blue green lenses easier to pick out the bumps;)

    sun glasses
Cebe have glasses with interchangeable lenses, might be worth investigating

I'd only recommend someone go online if they've already tried on the goggles they've decided to buy, and know that the brand, model and size they're deciding on really are a good fit.

Unless you're going for A-Frame Oakleys or something. I think they fit almost everybody! :p

Just try em on in a shop first!
