Neither. Get this - superior to both cards in price: performance ratio by a considerable margin. Though the 7900GS is so old that even a 3870 would be a big upgrade. Also don't bother with 1gb on a card like the 9800gt, wasted. If your budget can't stretch the 150 odd for a 4850, a plain 512mb 9800GT at 115 is still a great buy.

    All good advice.

if your thinking of buying that evga 9800GTX+ you should just get a 4870 512mb..

Well i play alot of FSX mostly on my pc and am seeing that the

GeForce 9800GTX+ seems to be beating the 4870 512mb on benchmarking

Then why wouldn't GeForce 9800GTX+ be better than that , But its on the bottom

The FPS rate between the GeForce 9800GTX+ & GeForce 9800GTX is confusing me so much .

After all the GeForce 9800GTX+ is the update of the GeForce 9800GTX

In fairness thats a difference of 3 frames per second, and doesnt account for all the other benchmarks that the 48s command over the 9 series cards.

The 4850 is a direct price comparison against the 9800 anyway. From all the numbers I've read suggest the 4850 is the better buy across more applications.

4870 kicked the ass off the 260 by being much cheaper and faster
