query about visas for going down under

    Hi everyone
    I'm a 23 yr old newly qualified nursing graduate and now considering going to new zealand in mid 09 (hopefully). I'm looking for all information you can offer really- from the best places i could get work with nursing agencies to visas....So firstly, visas- I have been browsing online and I'v noticed the diffferent categories: skilled migrant... to working holiday.... I plan to stay there for 12 months so what would be most suitable as a nurse ?
    What are the best cities in new zealand? (Well I am goin with a group but not sure what are recommended)
    (Our plans are in early stages... )


    I unfortunately do not have graduate experience since finishing my course thats mainly why I have decided to leave Ireland for a while!.... I am currently working with a nursing agency here in Ireland, I do already know its not considered as experience but apparently in oz and nz they do not mind and are willing to take us straight from college. Besides we spent half the course on placements ! I have a friend in oz who has been hired in a hospital how do I gaurentee hospital work in nz without experience opposed to nursing home work which I'd prefer not to do ?

    I can answer your visa question

    You want a working holiday, not a skilled migrant (if you like it you can apply for skilled) but since it is 12 months, cheapest and easiest is the working holiday

    Best cities ... what is best for you? what are you looking for? The most popular cities (or largest) are Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, etc ..
