Mechanic Recommendation? (BMW)

I am looking for a recommendation for any mechanic(s) based in Cork city who in particular have experience / expertise with the older BMW's (E30 in the 3 series - I drive a 1987 BMW 318i). I have used a local mechanic close to my house for some time but have always felt he is a bit on the expensive side (and may not be the most honest) and would prefer to bring my car to someone who has done a deal of work on older BMW's and is not a cowboy.

Has anyone else used such a mechanic in Cork city? Any recommendations / advice welcome.

    jAH

Steve Murphy (pm for number), he's very good and reasonably priced. I wouldn't take mine anywhere else ;)

Edited to remove the mobile. - Castie

    Hi jAH.

Hope she's going okay for you :) I've heard good things about that chap too, so I'd say you'll be in good hands with him.

I always find it's a good idea to ask around ur local pub for such things.
I did that for a plumber recently, turned out the guy did a fantastic job and I went to school with him years ago.

Hello I’m just wondering if someone could pm Steve’s mobile number to me please? The garage appears to be closed at the moment

He's wasn't out in the woolen Mills? Or a different guy

It’s mmw motors, the guy is Steve Murphy, his garage is in the Monahan road industrial estate.

It’s closed at the moment, so I saw in this thread that people had shared his mobile number, so hopefully it shows up soon!

    Thanks for replying
