    Since YouTube has started to let you deep link to a set time frame of a video is there any way of using this option when posting an embedded video?

    Here is an example of a deep link:

    I don't think so. Youtube itself is using extensive javascript controls on the flash player to fast-forward the movie after it's loaded. Boards is just embedding the flash movie without any fancy scripting. I'm sure this functionality could be duplicated, but it sounds like a lot of hassle for a very small feature. :)

    I find threads with embedded videos are already very slow to load, I would imagine any fancy scripting would multiply this delay.
