Two quick questions about getting photos developed

I haven't gotten any of my pics developed in years, so theres two things I'm not sure about

    1) Do most places take USB sticks, or do they still look for them to be burned to CD's?

    2) What kind of quality would you get from photo's copied from social websites? They're in 604x453.

    Thanks

don't know about no.1, but standard photo quality is generally accepted to be 300dpi; which means you'd get a 2" x 1.5" print from those shots. so don't expect high quality.

You can go way below 300dpi. The reason for 300dpi is carried on as a standard because of historic reasons of which very few people know the origins. Having said that, there will be limits to the quality you can expect from files of that resolution.

The other issue is when you say "photo's copied from social websites". Do you have permission to print these images from those that own the copyright?

    1) Most can take memory cards, USB sticks and CDs.

As for 2) are these your photos? Do you have permission to print them/use them? I'm sure you're aware of copyright, and the fact that you can't just copy a photo you like and print it?

Yeah I'm aware of all the legalities and that sort. They're just pictures a few friends took from nights out, thats all.

So in others words, the quality will be acceptable, but nothing fantastic?
