i hovered over the thread and read it because it does not show spoiler tags and also i thought it was a pre air and i was already opening a new tab in antisipation of finding it

    Fixed.

Try not to poke too many holes into this episode, its the only one youre getting for 2 weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 999 ✭✭✭cregser

A bit weak considering it has to tie us over for 2 weeks.

After watching for 2 1/2 series I'd like to know what the story is about now please. They make out that there is some ideological battle going on that challenges anybody to decide which is the right path. But nobody actually talks about it and all we have to go on is that Daddy Petrelli is the bad guy cos he kills people.

I loose faith in the writers when a mind reader gets fooled by speedy gonzales and a time traveller can't overcome a man with a shovel.

Is it just me or do the moral compasses of the characters change far too often? Claire, Sylar, Mohinder etc. No-one has a clue what they want and they're too easily manipulated by older characters.

Why didn't Claire give Peter some blood. Why?
I like (staring at) Elle. I like the Daphne. I like Pa Patrelli. I like that people are dying even if they are the wrong ones. I like that the season is really starting to pick up momentum.
This was a tight episode. There wasn't any wastage of screen time.

The part of my brain that critisizes needs a serious rest.

I was quite excited when Marlow killed Parkman. My excitement died about 5 seconds after.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Holsten

Haha yeah, finally someone kills his annoying ass, cool it was Marlo.

Again way too much Claire, the show should really switch the focus from her to Peter/Sylar/Arthur.

The only thing that can save this show for me now is Clare and Elle getting it on which I almost thought was going to happen on the plane. Ah if only.

I'm really getting into this now, I thought the last two episodes were excellent, starting to come together,

One company Vs the other ... and Arthur Petrelli seems like an actual bad guy.

I also like the fact that they have killed off every new character from season 2 (bar elle), and Slyar seems to be very interesting

I like the way they seemed to explain peter surviving the fall (I wonder if this was slyar or his father ...)

Agreed, it finally feels like it's coming together. Had to be Sylar i'm thinking since the father seems to be out and out bad.

Yeah I'm thinking that too, but nothing is obvious in heroes ;)

I guess we're being lead to believe that this season will eventually become a battle if not all-out war between the two factions under the leadership of Arthur and Angela Petrelli, with various characters choosing their sides....?

I just wish we'd be given some idea, even if cryptic enough or fed bit by bit, of what their goals are.

I know, with shows like Lost, people often complain about drip-fed information, but we seem to be kept completely in the dark as to what's going on here....

This show really seems to have pissed all over the credibility of any character death. Thrown out a 7 storey window? Nope your fine. Shot in the face? Nope your fine. Glass shard in the back of your skull? Nope, your fine. Impaled with a sword? Nope, your fine. Had your head carved open? Nope, your fine...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,103 ✭✭✭CodeMonkey

Why the hell do they keep on showing Meredith having some flame on her open palm? Is that pose so cool that they have to repeat it so many times? The character and pose annoys me every time I see it. Make her do something for god sakes.

Papa Petrelli can quickly use the telekenesis power to knock the metal railing out of Peter's hand in one scene. Then later in another scene he chooses to use the lightning power to shoot Peter and keep on missing instead of just stopping him with telekenesis. The writers are too inconsistent with how people use their powers just to get the badly written plot going. And how come he doesn't stop time, teleport, go invisible etc?

Elle passes the electricity to Clare and it magically stops there instead of going through Clare and into the plane....wtf? Telepath who doesn't know when someone is lying to him. Arrgh.....

Well at least for once they addressed that, with Pa Petrelli (and Peter himself) questioning how the hell he survived such a fall, heavily hinting that Sylar slowed him down (Peter even says he didn't hit as hard as he should have). But you're right, every other time a character should have died, it's undone with some craptacular explanation...

I thought it was ok, but the story really has to start going somewhere. And I also find it very annoying how characters flip-flop all the time (last time Parkman saw his dad, he had trapped him in his own head, as he was the "nightmare man" and had to be stopped - and now he is all upset that Pa Petrelli killed him? WTF?). Ditto on Daphne, Mohinder and most other characters who just can't make up their minds...

Sylar just needs a hug :D.

And the hilarious line of the episode: Nathan saying he is going to "kick doors down" over at Pinehearst... Right, cause Nathan is such a badass and has such a great power... is he gonna fly into the doors to kick them down? :)

I liked the scene with Nathan and his two blondes.(fire and ice) Made me smile for some reason.

Seems clear that will be the case now with Sylar possibly tipping the balance of power.

I guess it's because the writers hadn't got a clue what would happen when they started the season. It seemed like they arsed around for a few episodes.

    lol

i was just wondering why he didnt freeze time before getting hit in the head because we have seen him do it VERY quickly before

Elle can't eat or sleep but takes time out to make her self look good.

I'd imagine all that electricity would make your hair look terrible.

The whole Parkman and Daphne thing really isn't working for me... Parkman just sounds like some creepy stalker.

And do the Petrelli's really need to take turns being in comas? I think all of them have been in a coma at some stage this season.... It's like a US daytime soap opera plot device.

    She can't shower either.... duuurty.

I'm just wondering how this issue with the powers going odd will play out.
And if we are to assume that Ma Parkmans power was the head****, and pa patreillis was the power suck is it safe to say that ma petrelli will wake up now?

Any ideas on how Peter will magically get his powers back now? Only thought I have is the formula....but in that case would it give the person back their original power or something differnet?

not a bad episode, and certainly clearing a low bar for the series so far.

apart from the point about Claire being a conductor for Elle's electricity in the plane, rather than just absorbing it, the other dumb thing I was wondering was why the hell didn't Peter tell Elle that Sylar (who, let's not forget, gloated about killing her father and nearly killed her while Peter watched from the cell) had just pushed Peter out a 7th floor window and was still waiting upstairs?? It would seem the decent thing to do

I'd say he will get his original power and soak it all back from Sylar.

Nathan might also like to know that he has a long lost brother.

A pretty good episode. I found it predictable at times (like a lot of the episodes) but it was entertaining.

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators Posts: 3,816 Mod ✭✭✭✭LFCFan

Sylar is well and truly on the fence now. He probably wants to see what the score is with Pa Patrelli before making his mind up. Pa Patrelli doesn't actually need Sylar if it's his power he's after because Peter had Sylars ability so Pa Patrelli now has it too. Obviously he can supress the hunger though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,835 ✭✭✭unreggd

Meredith is so annoyin the way she gloats about her ability

every time she shows up shes like "Hey look, i can make fire"

I wish she'd just shut up and put it to good use

If this season's finale is a cop-out, ill go balistic

Fook bein predictable, I want a big-ass X-men style battle of the abilities!!

    and capes! :P

The time travel is just annoying now, I wish Papa Petrelli wud steal it from Hiro and never use it

Like, there were 2 unconcious Hiros at the same time, but when the later one woke up, there was only one!

Maybe if Arthur is killed [at all, or in a special way] all the powers he stole go back to their owners

I'm guessing Peter is going to get his scar in an upcoming episode because he can't acquire it whilst he has his ability to regenerate.

^^ good shout, but the series as a whole has drastically gone down hill since season 1...

Deter is the only thing worth watching on tv for me these days.

Dexter has lost me a bit as well tbh. It's all very well done but very predictable. It becomes a bit of a bore. Also I'm not liking Season 3 that much. The baby stuff isn't doing it for me.

I don't think the scar will make an appearance. If not because they aren't going to want to put prosthetics on the guy every time they want to do a shot. This isn't a show that thinks that far ahead, or at all.

I agree. The scar is just to make future Peter look badass and for the not so smart viewers to distinguish him from the present Peter. The makers of the show seem to show us a lot of things purely cause they think it looks cool without thinking ahead about it. Doubt they even thought how future Peter in season 3 doesn't need to have a scar like the future Peter in season 1 cause they're from different futures.

Agree with you. Hope to be proved wrong about them but its looking less and less likely that there's anyone with real talent there.

I enjoyed it like the way its going, its fast paced and entertaining, i was wondering with all the comments about Peter not being able to heal is he gonna get a slap in the face soon!

I was annoyed at the whole lying to pie muncher parkman, surely he would have heard the phone call!

Im definitely wondering where this is all going to finish, better not be a let down!

Any scenes with elle and claire make me happy:D
