possible spider bite

not looking for medical advise, just an opinion. I think I got bitten by a spider in my sleep two nights ago. I remember hearing something moving over the sheets near my head when I went to bed. I assumed it was a spider as the tapping sound seemed to match up, but I thought nothing else of it. Woke up the next morning and had, what I think was web over my mouth. it wasn't drool, it was too dry and it was kinda sticky and silky. was a little grossed out but it was only today when I looked in the mirror that I saw a small red mark over my eye and the skin around it was a little swollen. I put one and one and one together and I assume it was a spider. has this happened to anyone else, in Ireland?

It hasn't happened to me, but that sounds like one big mofo of a spider.
If in doubt I would go to the doctor and get it checked out.

Any other signs of spiders about? Big webs etc.

I agree that it sounds far fetched, but as I said I just put one and one and one together

In your lifetime you will eat 20 spiders in your sleep. However, why would a spider put a web over your mouth? Are you smelly and have lots of fly buddies? :P

lol. I sleep with my mouth open, so it could have been to bridge the gap. tbh I dunno how he stood the snoring
