Corner Gas - a hidden gem

Canadian sitcom. Shown on RTE at around 1am or later. Very funny. Anybody else watch it? It's very well written, and the show doesn't rely on young or good-looking characters (no offence to the cast!). Very accomplished show.

Just checked, it's on at 3am on Mondays (double bill too)!

RTE show a lot of good shows around that time even though they know they'll get very few viewers. It's just so TV3 or TG4 can't show them at prime time I heard.

Savage Show alright, pity RTE cant find it a better slot in its packed schedule

But in fairness with all the quality comedy programmes on RTE especially on a monday night, where's the room?

Saw some of this in Canada, not enough to form an opinion though to be honest. Met a few of the cast, unbeknownst to me until it was pointed out by fellow work colleagues. The one who plays Nancy looks like that all the time tbh, you wouldn't think she was on one of Canada's most known shows.

Oh, it's also been cancelled, just in case none of ya knew.

Not all shows that end are cancelled:)
They stopped making it, the guy who owns/runs the gas station in it pulled the plug apparently

Comedy shows should be stopped before they go stale

i watched a bit of this last night, it was very nice to be reminded of Canada again but I still think now what I thought then. That show is ****ing dreadful. I was so stoned I could barely walk for most of my time in Canada and I still couldn't sit through an entire episode.

It's nice to hear someone say aboot again though
