Can anyone tell me if there's a DAB signal in Waterford? I'm thinking of getting a small DAB radio for running but I just want to make sure theres a signal first.

Nope! No plans in RTENL's schedule to install it at Mt Leinster or any transmitter site in the SE either..

How about for stations like Newstalk etc?

Doesn't matter who for, there is no DAB signal audible in the South-East at all.

RTENL run the DAB multiplexes that are on air in Dublin, Limerick, Cork, but none on air here.

    Yeah sadly it's true.
I emailled the digital radio crowd in ireland and they said no plans
for a few years down this way.

    alot of details here.
Another sign of just how worthless our government was during the "boom"

DAB is dead. RTE have pulled all funding for expansion so if you don't have it now you wont get it for a long time.

Trotter have you considered wi-fi internet radio?

Im after one specifically for running Mike.. The reception on my phone FM radio is dodgy at the best of times. I use that for jogging at the moment.

What type of phone do you have and where do you run? Iv never had much problems with receptions on any phones iv used with radio - so would be surprised if you are! Could be a phone issue maybe?

Ah right, jogging with a Logik IR 100 could be tricky (rucksack and a very long cable :p )

I've a Nokia 6300 and I head out towards the Dunmore direction, or else through the city when I'm feeling brave!

Dunno much about them, for best effect the radio needs to be 'reciva software' compatitible.
