P45 Problems

    Hi,

    I have a problem, I cannot get a p45 off my previous company, I left in February have been trying to get a p45 since and can't what do i do now? i am owed some money from the tax man hopefully I have been on emergency tax for a while, any advice appriciated many thanks mary:D

    i had that problem before. Go to the tax office, and tell them they refuse to give you your p45 ...they didnt get me a p45 but they sorted me out with some other form (cant remember the name - sorry) but it had all my tax and info on it.

    That is a very serious breach, go to the tax office and let them help you out. Warn your ex employer first though, that might be enough to get them moving. If they did they it would save you the queue in the tax office. Today is the final "pay and file" date for self assessed tax payers, but the tax office be quieter next week.

    I finished up work there last week and I thought it would take a while for the P45 to come out but I had it the next day. I was surprised at how quickly it could be done, and delighted that it wasn't going to be a hassle to me.
