    Hi there,

I have got an absolute nightmare of a problem. I have been presented with a bill from the HMRC for tax owed by my company.

The problem is that i had that company down at Comp House as dormant as it has not traded ANY monay yet.. so there is nill tax to pay. I have filed tax returns, but by what the HMRC letter is saying im getting fined for not returning the forms..??? Has anyone got any guidance or idea where i could turn for good advice? I have called the HMRC but they are going by their records, I did not employ an accountant as i had no money to declare so i did the balance sheet myself.

Unfortunatelly Citizens Advice is not great and a nightmare to get a hold of and im starting to panic as the longer i wait the worse it will get, im sure. :(

    Thanks

Judging by your post this seems to be about the UK tax authorities. I am not sure how much advice you might get here about UK tax authorities. Can offer no advice beyond talking to an accountant to help you deal with it. In my own experience with Irish Revenue Commissioners, they impose fines and you just have to pay.
