Took a few pics at a recent U8 Football Blitz in my football club. I used the kit lense that came with my camera as I havent got my zoom lense yet. For a 1st attempt, I dont think they are the worst.

Try to get down a bit lower, so that you get a better angle on the players.
Crop out the large areas of grass & any "busy" backgrounds, such as the houses in the last one.

Thanks for the comments. I see what you mean by getting down lower. Never thought of that while taking the photos and also on the cropping. I didnt crop too much as there wasnt much left of the picture due to not having a zoom lense.

Great set in the sense that it's great to see our future budding superstars!

Also get you're shutter speed up as there is some blurring on feet and ball, but very good otherwise

Cheers for that, had the shutter speed at 1/400. Thought that would of been enough.

Good work. You will have loads of oppertunities at juvenile games. Get a little lower I like #2 and 4. Some good G.A.A club websites around where you will get ideas. www.maurs.ie or have a look at OnLooker photos on St. Brigits web site. Also just look at what the experts like City-exile and these lads and lassies post here. Up the Maurs:):)
