Would you not lay down a few extra euro and get a 32" ? All the above brands can be bought as 32" for under 500 - Sony as well.

I didn't, but i initially suspected that may be the case - no reference was made to looking for a VAT number though when i was going through the motions of checking out, which they must do if they are not charging me VAT afaik, which led me to believe that maybe they weren't.
The LG above can be got and delivered to the north for €370 from pixmania.co.uk - €550 from pixmania.ie!!
Re the 32" and it being only a few quid extra, I know and was thinking that, but I decided I had to cut off somewhere (I started off looking for a 22"), plus I've done so much looking I've had enough and don't want to start checking out 32" inches now too!!
Does anyone have any thoughts on the models above or what might fit the bill best (and I suppose I could maybe think about a 32").
Requirements, bedroom TV, min 26", mainly dvds, some ntl digital and maybe ps3 in the future (I'm working on that one;)).

I'm thinking of making a purchase today, anyone got any quick comments on any of the 3 tv's I listed - or where I could get a cheap Sony 26V4000 (which seems to be the best regarded tele in this class).
    Any pointers appreciated.

Here, at richersounds its £360 and the delivery to ireland, for boardsies is 20£.Thats 475euro all in.Not a bad price but the 32" version is remarkably, only £10 more so i'd have that instead.

As for ordering, if you want it in a hurry, i'd call their belfast shop nad they should be able to sort you out.A lot of boardsies are very happy with their service as can be seen from their consumer interaction forum here

Thanks Zonda, will give that a try.

Looks like that tv is only available in store - I will be north in a few weeks, but not belfast, hmm. The other question I have is whether or not you think the 5 year guarantee is worth it for £36.95 - i normally stay away from these, but with an LCD it might be worth it?

Did you try ringing them?? I know it says that for a lot of the tvs on that site but i know a few boardsies that have got tvs that, according to the website, can only be got in store.RS deliver them down south for just £20.

Yeah called them, but no can do - i reckon i'll order one to the belfast store and I'll be up there in the next few weeks, so can collect it then.
Cheers for the help - one last thing, 5 year guarantee, yay or nay?
