After seeing a bit of 'The Adams Family' (which has aged EXTREMELY well for a movie that came out in '91) today, i decided to look it up and see what some of the people on it were up to...

I found out the guy who plays Gomez died in '94:( The guy who played 'thing' also played a hand in 'Idle Hands' which i personally think is a really good movie, and also starred Jessica Alba, which i didn't realize until now because i first saw it a long long time ago before she 'made it'. Plus the lead guy in Idle Hands, who i've never seen in any other movie, was also the human Casper as well as Stan in the Eminem song/video.

Also, the kid that plays Pugsley in the Adams Family hasn't really done much but he was a production assistant on Star Trek: Insurrection.

    So yeah, imdb is awesome....

Anyone else come across anything unexpected or interesting while browsing?

Watching Risky Business ATM. Now that IMDB's very well. Nearly everyone in it is either a director/producer or runs a producton company now. AlsoTom Cruise hasn't changed a bit. Great nose job:(

Saw a bit of The Adams Family yesterday myself and I agree its aged very well.

I was actually blown away by Christina Ricci. She was magnificent.

She was the best thing about the first two movies, by a country mile!

Well, she looks still the same - like a child. That puts me off :-(
However talking about characters in the film... - I just like girls without fake tan. Orange texture of the skin is enough, why to get even orange colour?

One example I remember is Sofia Coppola. Before she became famous as a director, she tried her hand as an actress, appearing in The Godfather at the age of a few weeks, and a few parts in e.g. Peggy Sue Got Married. She was called to fill in for Winona Ryder in The Godfather Part III. (FWIW, I thought she was just fine in that - her awkwardness suited the character.) The IMDB surprise was her part in Star Wars Episode I.

If you look at the full cast list for that movie, you find the likes of Keira Knightley (alongside Sofia as Amidala's handmaiden), Brian Blessed & Greg Proops (voices), Celia Imrie (a veteran UK TV actress playing a fighter pilot), and Sofia's brother Roman Coppola as an uncredited guard.

IMDB covers TV as well as movies. I've watched a few episodes of The Nanny, and wondered else those actors did. No surprises, until I got to the youngest daughter (8-9 y.o. in the series) who was played by Madeleine Zima. When I looked her up, I found that she grew up to star in Californication, and appears in a nude sex scene in the very first episode.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

That Dewey from Malcom in the Middle voiced the kid-seahorse in Finding Nemo; while the kid who voiced Nemo once played one of Dewey's friends in Malcom in the Middle.

    Now THAT'S trivia!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    Pfft.. that's not trivia!

The kid who voiced Nemo plays Shane Botwin in Weeds. The actor who voiced Marlin (Nemo's father) was in the most recent series of Weeds for a couple of episodes, and played Shane's grandfather.

    Now THAT'S trivia!

What about the fact Bill Murray played Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters who in the cartoon was voiced by the guy who did Garfield in cartoons while Bill Murray voiced Garfield in the live action version!

The guy who did the voice of the serial killer on the phone in the scream movies is also the voice of Mojo-Jojo in the Powerpuff Girls (Roger Jackson)
