    Hi

What im trying to figure out is where can i find information of the COST of obtaining a court judgment against UNDEFENDED cases

Any help in the right direct would be greatly appreciated, amounts would be 1) less than €6348 and 2) greater than €6348

    thank you

costs depends on nature of debts, volume of cases, adequacy of your documentation, whether your solicitor does debt collection litigation etc etc.

rather than spending hours on google looking up the rather antiquated procedures that solicitors have to operate in that area ( due to the absence of modernising legislation ) you should talk to your solicitor.

Famous last words! Debt recovery/collection litigation is a minefield for the unwary, as it can be, for a layman, highly technical and procedural. Even after obtaining a judgment against a debtor the enforcement of same is again technical and procedural. You really should ring around few solicitors firms and make a few enquiries. You may find that their fees will be a % of the debt.

    It's not that hard.

The best bet is to ring the District Court Office (Civil) in Dolphin House, Temple Bar.

They are there to answer your questions and are a nice bunch, just persist if you can't get through. The number is on courts.ie

Solicitors usually charge and small up front fee and 9% on what's recovered. But it all depends.

District Court applications aren't that hard and you only have to pay stamp duty on the Civil Summons of €12.00.
