Cheapest place to buy a house in Ireland?

I heard up to recently you could buy a house in some of the "rougher" places in Manchester for about £9K.

Just wondering if a similar situation exists in Ireland.

Could you buy a house somewhere for under say, €30K?

The house could be a real ****hole in a dive neighbourhood, but I guess it's property all the same.

Anyone got information on this?

Mods: I'm only being semi-serious here so don't shift this to the property forum or whatever.
I'm just curious is all.

I suggest near to a place that has the following conditions:

a place where they dump their rubbish unto the public
a place that has a bunch of useless sods,
a place that vehicles can be parked, costing nothing but Joe Public is paying instead
a place that personifies the term useless money taking lazy durty grabbers
a place that is full of cheap drink and where they pay no tax and vat!

You know where I'm talking about...

..The Dail!
Move near there. By the time the current useless lot are finished, property around there (& the country?) will be cheap!

cottage is on 5.1 acres on the right. 1.3 & 1.5 acre plots are the far side on the left.

Althought I'm guessing that's maybe a typo. 15K for an ok house and over 5 acres?

This house is still on sale at 85,000. From the photos it looks quite nice. Is there some problem with the immediate neighbours? Or just the general area?
Would it be suitable for a quite single person or couple who don't go out much at night?
