The fairground has arrived in Maynooth. I saw it setting up when I was getting off the train and then saw the lights on yesterday. Went home and came back later with the camera and got these...

I really like that second shot, how long was the exposure?

Thanks. It was 4 seconds at f/11. It's a pity that there were some dead bulbs on the wheel which is why there are black "bars" on it.

I like them both, lovely images:).

I actually think the missing bulbs give the second one a bit more 'character'.

Does the top one need a bit of straightening? The camera may have been dead level but my brain is perceiving it as a bit off due to some of the lines, I'd like to see the right hand side raised a little. I think I'd crop out the lamp post and its's reflection on the left if I was being picky as I find them a bit distracting and don't really add to the composition.

Very nice long exposures. Fairgrounds are always fun for long exposures. It just takes some practice and time.

Great shots, must have been the same fair that was in Ashbourne
